Boston, Mass, - November 2007 - The Executive Committee of the Massachusetts Capital Resource Company has announced that as of January 1, 2008, William J. Torpey, Jr. will become Chairman of MCRC, and that Richard W. Anderson will be promoted to President and Chief Investment Officer. Bill joined MCRC in 1978 and has been President since 1982. In addition to his new role at MCRC, Bill will also become Chairman of an affiliate company, The Life Initiative. Dick joined MCRC in 1981 as Vice President and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 1986. During his twenty-six years with the company Dick has been responsible for investing over $200 million in 55 companies. In addition to his portfolio duties Dick currently serves as a Director for The Providence and Worcester Railroad Company and Valpey Fisher Corporation.
