Waltham, MA – March 4, 2010 – Blue Fang Games, the award-winning game developer of Zoo TycoonTM for Windows® PC, World of ZooTM for Nintendo Wii™ and Lion PrideTM for iPhone®/iPod Touch®, today announced the launch of their first Facebook game, Zoo KingdomTM. Zoo Kingdom invites players to join a global zoo community where they have the creative freedom to design their own unique zoo and share it with their friends. While other leading Facebook developers are focused on imitating each other’s games, Blue Fang is leveraging over ten years of game development experience to marry original and engaging gameplay with the proven social elements of this platform. In the game, players begin by managing a small petting zoo and embark on a journey to build their personal zoo kingdom. Players earn currency and experience by caring for their animals and maintaining their zoo. This currency can be used to expand their zoo by unlocking new Zoo Kingdom animals, exhibits, scenery and attractions. Players can also earn currency by visiting and caring for their friends’ zoos. The more you do, the better your zoo!
Zoo Kingdom is being developed and supported by Blue Fang’s new Mobile/Online division which is focused on applying proven game design and development principles to the new social, online and mobile game platforms. This team is comprised of a singular combination of game industry veterans and online/social gaming talent and is focused on delivering original, dynamic IP offerings in rapid succession. The studio has also created and refined its outsourcing partnerships and pipeline and technical backend to enable effective development and quick deployment.
