International Oil & Gas Company Petrofac Awards Multimillion Dollar Contract to AspenTech

BURLINGTON, Mass. November 1, 2010 — Aspen Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: AZPN), a leading provider of software and services to the process industries, announced it has signed a multimillion dollar contract with international oil & gas facilities service provider Petrofac. The deal will result in aspenONE® Engineering being deployed across Petrofac’s global operations.
- Petrofac has a diverse customer portfolio including many of the world’s leading integrated, independent and national oil & gas companies. Many of Petrofac’s customers also use AspenTech software. Through sharing common tools and technology, Petrofac and its customers are better able to shorten development time and increase engineering productivity.
- The flexibility of the token-based aspenONE Licensing Model allows AspenTech customers to deploy software more easily across multiple locations. Petrofac will deploy aspenONE tools across the company’s operations in Woking and Aberdeen, in the UK; Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates (UAE); and locations in the Asia-Pacific region.
- This transaction was signed in Fiscal 2010.
