Lytron Hires David Olds as Vice President of Engineering
July 28, 2009, Woburn, MA, USA: Lytron announced today the hire of Mr. David Olds as vice president of engineering. Olds will be managing all of Lytron’s custom and standard products engineering, which include Lytron’s components engineering, systems engineering, program management, and mechanical design departments. Olds was hired to replace the current vice president of engineering, Mr. Richard Goldman, who is retiring in November after 21 years with Lytron.

As we grow, his expertise in the aerospace, military, and power conversion markets will be invaluable.”
Olds has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a MSIE in Engineering Management from Northeastern University. His resume includes engineering positions at GE in Direct Energy Conversion and at GE Aircraft Instruments. His most recent position was at AMETEK Aerospace as director of engineering for the company’s Sensors and Fluid Management Business Unit.
Lytron’s standard and custom cold plates, cooling systems, and heat exchangers are found in the medical, military/aerospace, traction, power generation, laser, power electronics, analytical, and semiconductor markets. The company engineers custom components and systems for OEMs as well as provides off-the-shelf standard products to OEMs and end users. Lytron sells directly from its headquarters and through its representatives and distributors around the world.
