Samsung Total Expects More Than $5M in Annual Savings from Deployment of aspenONE® Planning & Scheduling Software

Korean Petrochemical Company Achieves Better Inventory Visibility and Improves Decision Making at Olefins and Aromatics Plants

Burlington, Mass- March 16th, 2010- Aspen Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: AZPN), a leading provider of software and services to the process industries, today announced that Samsung Total Petrochemicals Co., Ltd. (Samsung Total) has deployed aspenONE® Planning and Scheduling at its Olefins and Aromatics plants in Daesan, Korea. Based on initial results, Samsung Total expects to achieve $5 million in annual savings by using aspenONE software.
