Bedford, Massachusetts, September 14, 2010 – UltrePET, LLC today announced that it has received a letter of non-objection from the Health Products and Food Branch of Health Canada approving the use of up to 100% of its polyethylene terephthalate (PET) recycled resins in the manufacturing of containers intended for packaging food and beverages, including water. This approval comes after an extensive review process. UltrePET has held similar FDA approvals for its post-consumer PET products for the past five years.

“The letter of non-objection from Health Canada is a significant step in our growth plans. Paul Zordan, Vice President and General Manager of UltrePET added, “UltrePET serves a variety of end markets with high value resins. This approval is exciting for the Company because it propels our sales growth internationally, opening food and beverage container markets for UltrePET in Canada.”

The Company specializes in high-end recycled resins serving the FDA bottle market, sheet applications, engineering resin markets and strapping.
