Boston, Mass. - April 2008 - MCRC is pleased to announce a new investment in Segue Manufacturing Services. Segue was formed by lead investor Axia Capital Partners to acquire Cable Design and Manufacturing (CDM) based in Lowell. CDM was founded in 1991, primarily as a cable and wire harness assembly house. The Company retains strong capabilities in this area, but today CDM is a full-service contract manufacturing company, providing electro-mechanical assemblies for over 100 customers. The Company ranks among New England’s top contract manufacturers, having established a reputation for high value, cost effective manufacturing solutions and excellent customer service. CDM’s former owner, Bill Roderick, will remain with the Company and lead the sales and engineering organizations. Peter Frasso, former COO of FEI, joined CDM as CEO. Axia’s Jim Pelusi stated “We are excited about teaming with Peter and the CDM team to create the leading full-service contract manufacturing company in New England.”
