MCRC ANNOUNCES INVESTMENT IN CRi

Boston, Mass, - January 2008 - MCRC is pleased to announce a new investment of $3,000,000 in Cambridge Research & Instrumentation, Inc.  Headquartered in Woburn, CRi is a biomedical imaging company which has been providing comprehensive imaging and analysis solutions to academic and commercial customers for more than 20 years.  With over 80 patents issued and pending, CRi’s solution platforms encompass sub-cellular, cellular and whole animal applications.  CRi’s Nuance system cost-effectively upgrades a lab microscope to a multispectral imaging system.  The Maestro in-vivo imaging system eliminates autofluorescence and enables multiplexing.  CRi systems are in use worldwide, enabling breakthroughs in clinical research, health and medicine.  The funding will be used to support the growth of the Company, including investments in technology and in sales and marketing.
